KNOW is sponsoring a remembrance of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims, with a call that a nuclear attack must never happen again.

We will have folding cranes and peace boats for children, music, and remarks by Ron Kramer.

This will be a moving and respectful event. Please join us.

Alan Hart, noted speaker, journalist, and author, will speak at Friends Meeting House, on Sunday May 16th, at 3:30 pm. (508 Denner Street, Kalamazoo, MI)

Mr. Hart has spent many years covering conflict throughout the world and is uniquely qualified to speak on the Middle East. His latest books investigate Zionism, and are titled “Zionism: the real enemy of the Jews”.

It will be a riveting presentation by someone who has known many world leaders personally and is on a quest to bring the truth to the American people, in service of advancing world peace.

This is a special invitation for you to attend our upcoming benefit concert with Charlie King and Karen Brandow. Charlie and Karen are nationally known, legendary folk artists who sing passionately about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people. If you have seen them before, you know you are in for a wonderful evening.

This is our major fund-raiser for the year. Our work in promoting peace and justice though speakers, films, bus trips to protests, web site, vigils, letters, and signs, is all done with volunteers, but we need funds as well.

We are being hosted by the WMU Peace Center, and a portion of the proceeds will also benefit Ministry with Community, a local organization which offers meals, services, dignity, and hope to people in need in our community.

Anna Baltzer, a young Fulbright scholar and author, and granddaughter of Holocaust refugees, narrates a powerful and personal story of her experiences in Israel and Palestine. She reports on the joint Palestinian and Israeli nonviolent resistance which is not covered in the US media.
