Friends, we will be honored with a visit and presentation by Phyllis Bennis at Western Michigan University on October 22. Sponsored by the WMU Peace Center and KNOW, Ms. Bennis will share her insightful analysis of the Middle East with us. As you will see, we are in for a remarkable evening of reasoned and thoughtful perspectives which are not reflected in the main stream media.
Phyllis Bennis is a senior analyst with the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington DC, and fellow of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam. She is a writer, policy analyst and activist on US foreign Policy and the United Nations. She is author of Calling the Shots: How Washington Dominates Today’s UN (Interlink Publishing, 2000), Before and After: US Foreign Policy and the September 11th Crisis (Olive Branch Press (September, 2002)), and Understanding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict: A primer (Trans-Arab Research Institute, (2002).
