Join us on Saturday, June 13 from 2–4pm at Fiddle Leaf Café (1501 Fulford St, Suite 30, Kalamazoo) for a community-centered Palestinian Plant Sale supporting families in Gaza. This event brings together local community members to support an urgent cause while sharing knowledge and connection. 100% of plant sale proceeds will go to the SUMOOD Fund, helping provide tents and sleeping pads for young widows in Gaza who are caring for children alone.
In addition to supporting families, attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to save seeds and connect with others committed to building community through collective care. A variety of seedlings will be available, all grown from seeds from the Palestine Heirloom Seed Library, including:
Banadura Baladyya Tomatoes
Fakous Cucumber
Ein Abu-El-Harth Jarjir Arugula
Kousa Summer Squash
Mulukhiyah Greens
Participants will also be invited to sign up for a future fall cooking class, where we will gather to learn how to process and cook with the harvest from these plants.
Come support, learn, and grow together.
